Need Help To Connect Netgear 614 Wireless Router To Net9online Connection

I just got a Netgear wireless router Model 614.I use a net9 online connection which has a static ip,subnet mask,default gateway, preferred DNS and alternate DNS. These have to be set up in the tcp/ip properties of LAN connection.Then I have to use a regular windows dialer to enter a user name & password.This is the setup on my net 9 online wired connection.Now while setting up the router, at the final stages where it asks you whether you have to login in to connect it only gives me the option of entering the user name /password, static ip, subnet mask, & preferred & alternate DNS . No option of default gateway which is needed to connect.If i choose that I donot need to login then I get all options that are required.But either ways , when I press test button it cannot connect to "netger BAS success" site which is the final outcome to show that I have configured my router correctly.Any suggestions to my problem or is net9online connection not wifi router friendly.
