[Need Help]BSNL Teracom Modem/Router Type 2 DHCP

Have to configure this for my friend. The issue is DHCP. i just cant get it to work. wifi is up and running. adsl is fine as well.
i can connect to router wireless when using static ip in laptop/mobile but automatic assigned ip option doesnt work.
seems like router is not able to assign ip's to devices using dhcp.
any pointers/help will be appreciated.
