My belkin N600 wifi modem connected to Airtel Broadband !!

My " N600 DB Wireless N+Router" wifi modem connected with Airtel broadband modem does not give me the range as required neither it is anywhere close to what they promise in their manual. The Belkin N600 was configured and fixed by Airtel technicians.Can someone help me on this subject. It is frustrating when you don't get the required range after buying this latest N series wifi modem from USA.Mahendra Jogani
