Mumbai partly launched Reliance IPTV - Bandra, Prabhadevi, Khar

Today customer care told me that they are accepting customers from part of mumbai - Bandra, Prabhadevi, Khar belt.They will be officially launching the campaign for Mumbai next month.They have no dates for future expansion into other areas of Mumbai as well as Navi Mumbai.This is as per customer care today. told to me on 20th Jan 2010. Please take it with a pinch of salt!

so reliance is still scheduled to use microsoft solutions for their IPTV services?

Reliance has tie-up with MSTV for IPTV, so they would be using it.But finally after long time there is news about its launch.

i think microsoft has a pretty good looking user interface for their television services. but the fact remains... a windows based STB is going to suck compared to a linux based STB.only time will tell.
