You can run a CAT cable from one router to the other. Don't connect the telephone line on the second router. Connect the CAT cable between the LAN ports (not the WAN port if there is one) on each router. Turn off DHCP on the second router. It should then behave as a switch. You can connect devices to this router and be connected to the internet in both rooms on multiple devices (you can even setup Wifi on both for greater wifi coverage - just use different wifi channels). Try this setup with both routers in the same room - before you run CAT cable across rooms - to make sure your routers support/work in this config
