I have a
D-Link DSL 502T modem/
router . Upon reboot, the last 4-6 weeks I have noticed that PPPoE login takes more than a minute (the Status page shows "Not Connected." BTW, I have subscribed to "Static IP" since early July and have noticed this problem. Not sure if it is related or not.Others experiencing the same problem when you reboot your modem?
I'm on Bridged connection and during the DAY,It does take almost a minute or more for my
ADSL light to stop flashing and become stable on my UR300R2U.At Night it syncs faster
In my case, the DSL modem syncs with the Exchange within 30 secs. Occasionally, the sync process fails but succeeds on retry. However, PPPoE login takes a long time. From the modem log it appears that the first login succeeds but the modem hangs up forcing a second login. If this is happening to many then the modem hang up is occurring at the exchange otherwise my modem may be on the way out. Here is the modem log.Jan 1 12:02:23> Modem hangupJan 1 12:02:23> Connection terminated.Jan 1 12:02:23> Doing disconnectJan 1 12:02:23> Terminated: Modem Hang-UpJan 1 12:02:29> pppd 2.4.1 started by root, uid 0Jan 1 12:02:29> Unexpected packet: Ether addr: 00:90:1a:41:77:
