I got a new MTNL connection and They gave me Sterlite SAM 300AX
In my router the TCP MTU setting is 1492 and TCP MSS is set to 0 (default)

I noticed that my broadband speeds are not great and MSN does not work.
When I try to ping My router or public DG, it's only connecting at 1272

Pinging 192.168.1.1 with 1273 bytes of data:
Packet needs to be fragmented but DF set.

Test on SpeedGuide Says
SpeedGuide.net :: The Broadband Guide

MTU = 1300
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput. If you are using a router, it could be limiting your MTU regardless of Registry settings.

MSS = 1260
MSS is not optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU value.

Default TCP Receive Window (RWIN) = 65535

Someone Please help me what settings shall i do because telling this to MTNL on 1504 is inviting retards... Not sure what to do!

Was your connection previously working properly?? If then do not change the settings as per the Speedguide.
