Only 60GB for 4K with 8mbps?? 🙁 But good atleast they have increased the Upload Speeds to 2mbps 🙄 And what is line bonding?? :struggle:

Note :

1. MTNL is not supplying modem that supports line-bonding feature.

2.With subscriber own modem.

Which modem will support line bonding?

Download limit should have been 400 GB at least.

Line bonding is a feature which allows you to use 2 telephone lines merging them into 1 internet connection. Theoretical download speed is the sum of connection speed set on both lines.

Cons:
1) Pay line rental for 2 lines.
2) Compatibility problems
3) Poor quality modems drop connections (You must buy your own modem)
4) Cannot trust MTNL to provide seamless experience
5) MTNL cannot provide stable connection on 1 line. Imagine the nightmare on 2 lines.
6) Way too costly and dumb FUP
7) No steady pings
8) Support from CC would be annoying

Pros:
1) Slightly less than double speed of single connection
2) Suitable for people who download occasionally

If the idiots at MTNL are listening, "Why not bump up your existing plans to 8 mbps? ADSL 2+ can do that just fine"

totally agree with tht dude. the fup is ridiculous for 8mbps speed. its a nightmare trying to explain them problems with a single line. imagine talking to the cc trying to explain them a problem on a bonded line !!!. on top of tht they wud use the excuse that "there must be a problem with your equipment. everything is fine at our end" everytime u complain. they do that all the time when ppl use their own modems. this plan provides them with a readymade excuse of putting the blame on the customer's head.

they should have FTTH on such a plan with at least 20 mbps speed. if a customer is paying 4k a month, they can easily recover the cost of installation.

Will this work with a single line? Will we 'theoretically' get 8Mbps with a single line?

MTNL uses ADSL 2+ which is capable of 24 mbps theoretical speeds. Actual speeds range from 8 mbps to 15 mbps depending on line condition. But 8 mbps is easily possible and there is no need for line bonding. Those who opt for this plan are in for a bag full of hurt.
