MTNL Delhi New Plans - What about Mumbai?

I have query. just suppose if i taken 256kpbs combo plan how bill i'll get ? don't say 599 rs. if answer is 599 rs then what about phone rental and tax ? or this is with everything

Mumbai pays 2.5K for the same!

NO,mumbai gets 2mbps unlimited plan for that price .

No mumbai gets 256kbps for 2500Rs. They corrected the word upto 2mbps for the plans, which obviously was wrong. Check tariff page again.

Its not a new plan, I am using 512 ul combo from 2 months, they have just reduced price and there is a big flaw with 512Kbps Unlm Plan. Every month around 12th or so Sync rate automatically changes to 256 and you have to get it changed by calling or emailing the sarkari babus.

Second go for 512 Kbps combo unlm and not just 512 kb unlm, (both r priced same)this way u get 500 free calls and your exsiting monthly rental gets waived off.
er yes i said 500 free calls , so it is the combo plan

and my friend has a 512 kbps connection and his sync rate doesnt change , thats a problem with your connection

@^Yes, both suckbut then these are still some of the cheapest ,most stable BB connections that we have in these cities.So we are not left with much of a choice are we?

exactly , no choice but to stick with mtnl at present

But I wonder why ?
Why are private broadband service providers reluctant to compete with mtnl especially in mumbai ?
