MTNL Broadband Mumbai Night Unlimited now from 10PM

I wrote an email to ED, GM & DGM (Broadband) yesterday about the non-implementation of the extended timing of NU period to @a users. Haven't received a reply yet.

Have you sent a mail too?
Can you please give me email id .. where i have to complain?

:dance: News, finally MTNL has implemented the new night unlimited period for @a users. I had used up 1277MB out of my daytime limit of 1280MB as of yesterday and did not dare to use it further even after 10pm. Today when I logged into the 'usage check' site my daytime usage is logged as just 1024MB. Also noticed that they have deducted all the megabytes of usage after 10pm from November 9th onwards. Way to go MTNL..........:urock:

Guess it was a bit of a premature celebration. Although MTNL has reset the accounted volume for sessions starting after 10pm since 9th November for @a users, it seems they have not implemented the timings in real time because I am still getting billed even after logging post-10pm as indicated in the images below.

Thankfully you checked and I luckily read your post as I was about begin downloading as if it was beyond 12am. But I believe they will deduct 'after 10pm' usage again. Lets wait and watch unlike what I conveyed through my earlier post.

@t3chg33k: If you login after one day and check that session again then it will be reset to zero.
There's is still a bug in the software which accounts the download after 10PM on that day but resets it the next day.

By the way I received a call from MTNL 2 days after I sent the email to them. Unfortunately I couldn't receive the call myself but they seemed to have corrected my account usage after receiving that mail.

Yesterday's usage is yet to be reset so I am no sure about the software bug thing. It seems that they had manually reset the earlier usage, which they might do in the future as well, but certainly it doesn't seem to have been automated as yet. Another thing to consider is that they have only reset the data usage for connections starting after 10pm, so in cases where I have started a session before 10pm and continued using it past 10pm, I have still been billed for the total volume for that session. Hope MTNL sorts it out soon enough.

Well I checked my usage history for any entries starting before 10PM and continuing after 10PM and found only one.
Even though a new session was not created after 10PM as done after 12AM for @a users, surprisingly, the entire session's usage was not counted.



Do check your entries again tomorrow which started before 10PM and continued after it.

That's certainly curious. I have been billed every time for sessions starting before 10pm and continuing after it since November 9. Dunno what MTNL is up to now.

It seems that the process of resetting accounted downloads after 10PM is not yet foolproof (or in worst case maybe its manually done :ishock:?).Also we can't directly complain this thing to MTNL as they have clearly mentioned that NU users need to switch off and switch on their modem before and after NU period :(.
