I have MTNL broadband which works allright on xp but does not work in linux (fedora core 4)i've D-Link 502T modem/router connected with usb.for linux i also tried adding - nameserver 192.168.1.1 to /etc/resolv.conf as suggested in other posts but it didn't help too.in linux firewall is also disabled.both adsl and usb lights are also consistently on.i need this mtnl broadband working in linux really urgently. so please reply if anybody has mtnl broadband (with router connected to USB) working in linux.thanks

For USB, you are going to need the USB drivers of the modem. It would be easier to connect it to LAN.Anyway, try thecommand:lsusb Does it list the modem? Try find linux drivers for the modem.......
