I don't know why but my connection is disconnecting/reconnecting itself frequently. It is happening since they doubled my speed from 512kbps to 1mbps.
I also sometimes get Oops! Firefox/Chrome could not find error when opening some sites.

Modem - D-Link GLB- 802C

SNR Margin/Authentication from modem's properties:

Local Tx Power: 12.3 dB
Remote Tx Power: 20.5 dB
Local Line Atten.: 30.5 dB
Remote Line Atten.: 19.0 dB
Local SNR Margin: 41.5 dB
Remote SNR Margin: 8.0 dB
Self Test: Passed
DSL Standard: ADSL2+
Profile: MII
Tx Line Rate: 1021 Kbps
Rx Line Rate: 1145 Kbps
Max Attainable Line Rate(Down Stream): 16136 Kbps

Thanks

they increased ur upload speeds too... 1mbps upload on old wires will def drop the line frequently.u can try changing modulation to ONLY G.dmtif that doesnt work, they u shud ask them to reduce UPLOAD speed to 512. download will still remain 1mbps.

NO NEED TO ASK THEM TO REDUCE UPLOAD SPEEED JUST REGISTER COMPLAINT, WAIT AND WATCH. MY CONNECTION IS WORKING FINE WITH 1Mbps upload speed

it's a bit off the topic but in my case i get disconnections only when modem overheats.. it's just an observation that these days in summers when air conditioner is off then disconnecting problem starts happening after 30 minutes or something and it doesn't connect till i switch it off for 5 minutes... and when AC is on it works without a disconnection for hours....

also since in my case wifi router is placed above the D-Link modem heating can be an issue..
