Mt882, Solution To Heating Problem

Hi ppl,

if u guys are fed up with heating problem of MT882, u may want to try this,
open the modem MT882. It should like this

If u can observe, there is only one chip got a heat sink. Other 5 chips doesn't have heat sinks!!! no wonders the modem produces so much heat.

Now we can buy some good heat sinks and glue them on the chips, like shown below.

This should reduce the heating problem drastically.

but it will cost u full warranty from BSNL.If u find any problems thereafter the BSNL ppl will say that u violated by opening the CPE.So beware and think before u open and change something

C'mon, as I saw there were no warranty stickers on my CPE; Only four bushes on the bottom side of the CPE. when I open them I found four screws. Other than that there are no "warranty void" stickers. even if there was one, everybody knows how to work around it.

Anyways, thanks for the warning.
