MT882 driver for Vista Premium

I need to install the Smart AX MT 882 modem driver/s for my windows vista premium laptop - have tried downloading the drivers from the BSNL site but could not install the same successfully. Any advise/help would be appreciated. Thanks,KD

1 What was the procedure you adopted for the USB drivers installation ?
2. As on date there does not appear to be usb driver/s for VISTA for AX MT882.
3. If you can, register at forum Huawei and ask a question about this.

And the reply by @cool_tech_tvm was to use the ethernet port of the modem without bothering about USB drivers.

Thanks! The ethernet connection approach is not working either - I connected the modem using the ethernet cable and then tried to install the PPoE file but my disk started crashing when I did the same. Will check on the Huawei site.
