Well, for now I think I am quite happy that I moved to MTNL Triband. I used Hathway for a couple of days to use up whatever possible usage, and it was quite slow.
Actually (maybe since I had complained about the speed and the linesman had told me he was going to check the wiring and he actually did something) the speed / responsiveness on the default settings is quite good today and far far ahead of hathway.
Putting a 100rs
adsl splitter on my parallel line has solved the disturbance / disconnection issues as well.
http://register.mtnl.net.in is also working ok. So it is
😀
Now where am I supposed to change my password? Is it at all necessary? Things are just fine and I do not now have hathway as a backup so if this change creates problems... If so, I am guessing at
http://register.mtnl.net.in and once that is accepted then in the modem setup config as well for the connection setup. Anywhere else?[/b]
