Monsoon is here, get ready for downtime

So monsoon is here. Forget about limits. Start worrying about network downtimes. Without monsoon Sify's uptime is 50 %. Now it will stay up for 30 % only.You know, Sify should be privatized lmao.

Last night I wasn't able 2 download anythig as my connection was down

i DO NOT want to remember my days on sify during monsoon. i found the switch to my house floating half deep in a polythene bag filled with water.

Connection is down here or unusable due to heavy packet losses since 2 days when the first rains came here (and it's not even officially monsoon yet for delhi )

Is it the CTO who disconnects the connection or its the SIFY who does this ?

its the CTO that disconnects usas its his routers and switches that are hanging on poles and tress and when the rains come to save his equipment he just switches it off

I have already taken precautions. My dial-up wire in place, modem re-connected to the comp. Waiting for the onslaught !

I had no problems with my SIFY connxn last year, as v dont have anything in CHENNAI calld MONSOON. hehe
