i have configured everything correctly but it does not seem to work for me 🙁

Nokia PC Suite is providing this service for a long time now.You see a notification when you get a TEXT and same thing with the Voice Calls, you can pick calls from the PC itself.@ I will check it later in the evening.

you run Nokia pc suite in the background? all the time? how much RAM does it consume?

Nah! I have disabled it from the startup list.

hmm, it is more like online syncing. not with your computer as such.

I guess I would remove it already. Major fail. Dropbox works great.

I used MightyText just to check SMS remotely but, it's Chrome extension was quite buggy so got rid off it.
AirDroid works great.
