They just need to come up with a new silicon to match up with M1. That's all.

Intel is so far away from 7nm chips, infact they had to struggle for 5 years since 2015 to be able to produce 10nm. Their 10nm chips are only by specification, since anything between 10 and 20nm can be labeled as 10nm (Intel's latest ones since 2020 are actually 10nm).

Meanwhile Apple is crushing it with the 5nm M1 chips, all thanks to TSMC.

I absolutely love the hardware of Surface laptops. Even Windows is so polished now. It's just that Apple is in a whole different arena wholetogether.
