Microsoft Office Updates

Rs. 4199 per year is too much.Is it? Not much into cloud stuff!
 
Rs. 4199 is not much coz it is for five license. That means you can use it on five PCs/Macs.So basically, if you can find four friends to share the costs, each of you would pay Rs. 839.8 per year. Microsoft is not offering a single user Office 365 license which is stupid as they would probably sell a lot more licenses if they offer it for let's say Rs. 999 per user per year.

The once-mythical Office Mobile for iPhone has been available for a while, but what about that rumored Android version? As of today, it's equally real: Microsoft has launched Office Mobile for Android. Its cloud-focused approach to editing Excel, PowerPoint and Word documents will be familiar to those who've tried the iOS release, including SkyDrive storage support. What differences exist are there primarily to accommodate Google's Holo interface guidelines -- as on iOS, there's no tablet-native interface. The pricing certainly hasn't changed. While the core app is free, you'll need an Office 365 subscription to start working.

Only for android phones for now!...Priced at $100/year ~Rs 6000/year
 
I am guessing it has something to do with the localisation. They are expanding it into 117 countries and 33 languages. Maybe they need some time for testing before rolling out?
