Got the delivery today. It was plug and play on my Mi QLED TV 55". Self preview (i.e. before placing the call) on Duo comes up with weird pixellation although it looks fine and clear to the other party on call.

The mic is also pretty good and captures our voice even at a good distance.

Overall a decent product for the price.

The specifications says it is compatible with Windows too. Won't be ideal though since it is a fixed focus camera.

Is it just my device or video quality in Duo on Android tv is pathetic ? I checked mi tv webcam's picture quality using a camera app and it seems to be good. But in Duo app on Android TV, the video is pixelated and blurry. Looks like VGA quality.

I faced the same thing on a Lenovo webcam. I assumed at the time that the TVs built in Android TV didn't have enough resources hence was reducing resolution

I guess that's an Android issue. So many options to choose from but developers can't optimise their apps for all devices.
Also, Google has a history of developing half baked products, only to stop support later.
Can't believe that even in 2021, there is no decent solution for video conferencing on TVs.

The preview visible on Duo is pixelated. It is probably an app issue.
