Mi Note is not charging anymore

So, looks like a trip to Mi Service Center is required. The phone is not charging. Battery is not inflated and seems to be properly connected. Connectors are also clean.

The notification red light is blinking. This behavior was the same when I got the phone and tried to charge it without the battery loaded in the phone 😀

Anything I can check? I have read horror stories about Mi Service Centers so I am kind of annoyed about the thought of going there.

Sometimes if it goes 0, it shows this error. Keep it on charge for 30mins and see.

right. turns out the amazonbasics cable had stopped working with mom's phone because of loose connector. switched back to mi (or local?) cable and seems to be charging now. should have bought anker cables. amazonbasics microusb cables are not very good.
