McAfee Security Insights Blog

A recent McAfee bug actually went on and killed Windows XP SP3 installations! It started detecting critical Windows system files as malware and well quarantined them. The problem is pretty big and each affected system requires manual fixes. 😀

the above link state the response of the company with possible fixes. i am surprised that no member on this forum was affected. 🙂

or maybe if anyone was affected, they are yet to get back online?
 
Office laptop has McAfee installed but the machine is SP2.
 
=O, Must delete mcafee on my win7 machine, But It does a decent job and does not nag or irritate me at all(yes, I'm looking at you Norton and kaspersky and maybe even avg)It does its work and barely ever prompts me, and I like that
 
have MSE in personal lappy.. But cant install on official one..
 
hmm, Have NOD32 in notebook, McAfee on Desktop and MSE on netbookI will replace my Mcafee and NOD32 when they expire
