making Linksys WRT54G router to work with SmartAX MT880(HUAWEI) modem

Hi,I got my Airtel broadband connection 2 days back. Everything works fine when using the modem to connect to internet. I am trying to use my Linksys WRT54G modem for wireless access. I am not able to make it work. I am able to see the wireless connection and on connecting any webpages are not getting displayed. I am not sure how to configure them. Airtel people are not able to help me.Please guide me to make them work.
