Mahatma Gandhi Assassination

"You say that there was someone else, a third person who killed him (Gandhi). Is that person alive today to face the trial?”
Assuming that there was indeed 3rd person. And assuming that person was atleast 20 years old that time.

That person would now be 90 years old. And by the time that person is found and trial starts he would possibly be dead.

And he would definitely be dead by the time he gets a sentence.

I know there is provision to open old cases but there should be some sense.
