i m using 749nu 2 mbps plan.i get excellent speeds downloading torrents.but i get speeds in the range of 20-30 kbps on http downloads.plz help me rectify this problem.

use download accelerator

any download accelerator for multiple connections to download the file. another thing that matters is the server thru wich u downloadin!

see i dont wish to use any download accelerator as i am already on 2 mbps line.i get speeds close to 200 kbps on azureus.why do i get such low speeds on http downloads.what speeds do u people get?

with DAP, u can get full optimization of ur speed.... even azureus do the same thing -> multiple connections = best speed....also, use firefox... ur IE may have a restricted speeds...

for me MTNL has restricted single connection speed to 100 KBps for intl servers.

What is the source of this information? Any download from microsoft.com does not give anything below 200 kBps. And microsoft.com is on an international server.

@venkz agreed there is nothing like that....have got speeds of 175kBps from link-removed servers (free user so single connection)....

yes yes!! but speeds from some server really sucks..Im getting 225KBps from MS and from some other International sites its not more than 30KBps( download.com)..
