Defintely a disappointing news...

Longhorn was originally supposed to have three major changes: a new file system, WinFS; a new graphics and presentation engine known as Avalon; and Indigo, a Web services and communication architecture. And with this announcement, one of the three is definitely delayed. Microsoft plan to release a beta version of WinFS when the Longhorn clients come out. This has been reportedly done to prevent any more major delays in the public release.[/b]

Oh my gosh.....How are we then going to manage our 600 GB storage devices in 2007?

Linux file system. and I believe in 2007 we will easily reach terabytes. I have 150 Gigs myself at the moment. 😀

Hmmm........Maybe I would get tera-bytes too, but consider the main-stream.Even today you see ppl with 2 gig HDs and 486s.
