Hi all!

I use Linksys AM300 modem for my internet connection. I have configured the modem to be in the PPPoPe mode. But in this mode I am not able to open the admin page of the modem using http://192.168.1.1 for some reason. But when I disconnect the DSL line and then try accessing the same it works. It also works if the modem is in the bridge mode. Although its no big issue since it is not something we access everyday, I still need to know why this happens? Kindly help me on the same. Except for this little issue I believe it is the best modem in the market.

PS: I upgraded the firmware of my modem thinking of it as one possible remedy, but still nothing happened.

in your command prompt type ping 192.168.1.1 and post output.. also type ipconfig and post output here

that strange.. your ip seems ok 59.184.120.10 .. but your gateway seems to be 0.0.0.0 .thats just not possible.. have you manually setup 192.168.1.3 as ip or did you get it via dhcp?

@ronelloDisable IPV6 in LAN Properties page. Are you using VISTA OS ? ( mine Xp Pro Sp2)Confirm you can access modem page. Please post ipconfig/all after above change.@superprash2003 : subnet mask 255.255.255.255 seems doubtful. should it not be 255.255.255. 0 ?

@superprash. The part where you see the gateway as 0.0.0.0 is not under my control. And yes i did manually setup my IP as 192.168.1.3.

@ronello
Disable IPV6 in LAN Properties page.

Confirm you can access modem page.

@essbebe : Like I mentioned the above the part where you see the subnetmask as 255.255.255.255 and gateway as 0.0.0.0 is set my MTNL. Like you suspect I use Vista. I disabled IPv6 and still nothing.
