Limited Or No Connectivity

I have dataone 900 plus connection.While there is no difficulty in connecting to the web,I am curious to know the meaning of a small icon in my taskbar saying ;Local area connection/Speed:100mbps/Status ;Limited or no connectivity.I request my doubt may be cleared.
 
^ you are connected thru the Ethernet LAN port .Its capacity is 100mbps . Limited connectivity means that the transfered data speed is much lessthan its capacity (as your connection is working fine) .No connectivity means that there is no connection at all .
 
Could be a false positive caused by corrupt tcp/ip settings. Open Device Manager>Network Adapters, uninstall ur ethernet card and reboot. It will be automatically detected and re-installed. Also check if DHCP is enabled in ur modem settings if this doesn't solve the problem.
