MTNL Triband + TATA night u/l
Has anyone noticed the latencies have increased? Two days ago I used to get 92ms on this Singapore server, now I get 284ms! I hate Reliance.
Tracert to google takes 100ms longer.VSNL has much better latency.

From hop 4 to hop 5..300ms! with VSNl it was 200ms..
Anyone experienced similar issues?
220.227.237.234 is a Reliance IP I think.

I play COD2 online and now it just sucks!
Might look into Tata Indicom Prepaid just for latencies..
 
I dont know abt ur Singapore Server, but whenever I do a continuous ping for www.yahoo.com I always get a response time between 296 - 300 ms. In fact nowadays I generally get 296 ms.
 
It should be 200ms from here to US..On a UK server..I used to get 192ms,infact my friend still gets 192ms on VSNL..and I? I get 311ms..w00t.Thank you Reliance.Will try Sify.I think they havn't blocked pings here.lets see.
 
Yeah latencies were less initially when they shifted to reliance but now speeds are low and latencies are high..some of reliance and flag routers infact frequently drop packets which shows in the pings... donno wat MTNL guys are upto. Sometimes routing is done over VSNL too..guess the transition is still not complete or maybe they are hanging onto VSNL too... Hope their sea cable with BSNL is built soon to counter this cartelisation by Reliance/VSNL
 
Aah thanks for the info..Sify sucks for UK servers mate....Only good for HongKong n Aus servers..*sigh*
 
ur lucky atleast u can find that out with sify in Mumbai , Delhi users dont even get that privilege...
 

The game servers can ping me..I'm sure the same would be the case in Delhi too? Else it would be bad bigtime 😛
 
yeah, they stuck me up with 26442 bill on my other dsl 🙂 hehe so FU MTNL 😛but gotta stick with them..no better option
 
heh. i too have noticed it. Recently, reliance is taking a LONG time to resolve names and connect to websites...
