Kia Motors Launches SUV Seltos

South Korean auto major Kia Motors launched its first made in India mid-SUV, Kia Seltos, at an introductory price of Rs 9.69 lakh. Speaking with BTVI, Manohar Bhat, head (sales and marketing) at Kia Motors India, said he is not worried about booking trajectory as the price is attractive. He said the firm has already manufactured 5,000 Seltos and will be able to ramp up production and increase deliveries. Bhat said the company will stick to further launch plans even if slowdown continues.

On the other hand, Derrick Goveas, Vice President, Shreenath Motors, said, "We were not in touch with Kamble — the entire deal was routed through Addis Marketing. The car was allotted keeping the delivery date in mind. It is not a demo car, it is a display car. No KIA rule says that I cannot sell a display car."
