from what i have read, clients are more suited for fixes in this case. patching routers would not resolve the issue if the clients are not updated. in any case, it is likely that 99% of routers in the country today would never get patch for this problem. people running wireless devices which are no longer getting security updates are going to remain permanently affected by this problem. pixel and nexus devices would get the update in november update. latest Apple ios beta already includes the patch. windows 10 has already received the patch.
i guess i would start saving for routers that are properly maintained by their manufacturers. google wife is a good option. pricey though. i wish they officially launch it here in india.
