Just got Sify

Well I just got Sify..browsing is slow as hell! downloading is cool using 8 connections/threads pulling 32kBps..newsgroups working too limewire im yet to try outonly thing is i logged off and even uninstalled the sify broadband client 2.8..still the net is working i think it didnt log me off properly..now how do i log off?? quite annoying..thanks for the help!

Wow, newsgroups are working for you! They refused to open up the ports even on phoning them, which port are you using?

You can log off by going to http://202.144.65.70:8090/logout.php

cool thanks! logged off finally! limewire working fine too..I think im not getting connection through a CTO but directly from Sify since there's no maintenance charge or anything..so the ports aint blocked..fairly happy right now..gives me extra 32kBps to play with at nights

Well yeah on Sify's any of 256 kbps pack.....u never get 256 kbps via a single connection.....so u cannot view streaming video or audio but if u sue a download acclerator using 8 connections u get 256 kbps.....strange sify

sify's not that bad for me yet..getting 32kBps on newsgroup..just with 3 connections..so far so good pic: sify+mtnl+mtnl = good speeds

he is using a download manager in which he is spliting the file into 8 partsand all parts are dowloaded individualy and combined when they are finished

the upload isnt bad either.....! whats the official upload rate? think they dont mention anywhere..

with flashget its even possible to get 99 simultaneous connections.it works like gem if u have very high speed broadband.but for 32 kBps 8-10 threads r enlough.remeber too many threads cause file to corrupt.

wit such low speeds .. i dont even care to segment my d/ls... it doesnt make ne difference whatsoever
