It is interesting to see how certain Asian countries are launching their own efforts to prevent the domination of tech giants in their regions. China decided to work on its own DVD format to save its manufacturers from paying royalties to groups like Sony and Toshiba in the future. And now Japan has announced its own search engine project to take on Google!

Great. If the Japanese take on Google then we will be seeing some seriously BIG war of the titans! Japanese engineers are the best in the world! 😀
