Issues with Teredo and Strict NAT

Wanted to play Gears of War 4 coop with a friend. Without VPN, I had strict NAT and was unable to host the game. He wasn't able to host due to strict NAT either. I thought of trying to use NordVPN and ExpressVPN but got these:

When I use Jio mobile data hotspot, NAT is open and I'm able to host games. What do I do? I face the same problem with upnp and dmz enabled.

No. Should I try the free version without VPN?

Yes, I use it for my raspberry pi and it works fine with CGNAT. No other config needed
