Volte calls can be made with mobile data switched off too. And as already discussed, the data usage towards calls won't get deducted from the data allowance.
Ideally I would require a 299 2GB postpaid plan than is valid for 30 days with free jiotv and jiocinema that dont count towards data.
Am I asking for too much?
Turns our her Redmi Note doesn't have volte support so that's the other problem. I have also been reading that Nexus 6P also doesn't work with Jio volte. Yet. Not sure tho.
Have UL connection over WIFI at home , generally use around Rs 200 for calling and occasional data recharges while traveling for around Rs 100
i was expecting 1 Gb data plus some free calls for Rs 250-300 per month but none of the Jio plans cover this
Rs 499 covers my needs but i wont be using 4 GB per month or may be use it just for the sake of it
and yes i know that there are data top-ups available for Rs 150 and then the Rs 149 plan would be right for my needs
but then i would be paying the same which am doing now
this free calls strategy would work for those who use more than 500 mins per month
for others its a joke . Rs 149 for free calls, my a**
Airtel has started offering old corporate CUG Postpaid plans now, i was using 999 Combo plan for last 1 year and i requested aritel customer care to downgrade my plan to 499 combo plan during last month but they refused my request and asked me to change the current plan to "499 Corporate My Plan(1000 Minutes + 1GB Data" which does not offer more minutes and data when compared to 499 MG Combo Plan(2000 Minutes + 2GB Data). Yesterday i requested them once again but to my surprise without any hesitation they activated the old 499MG Combo Plan to my number. Thanks to Jio Launch 🙂
I have 4 mbps UL BSNL BB at home
For calls my usage varies from month to month
Most money on calls is spent on STD and roaming
Have to keep a track of their always changing STD roaming and Data packs
Also need at least 2 GB data while roaming that too when I use wisely
My annual bill goes above Rs.5000
I would be happy with the 499 plan
Will check their coverage and network performance during free period plus a few months into commercial launch
If the network is good for me. I will discard the prepaid SIM from welcome offer and port my primary number to Jio
