Hello all wanted to know is there any VOIP settings for AIRTEL xtreme fiber users if so how to access same using SIP settings ..thx

Can someone help with setting VoIP?
I own an HG8145V5 connected to a Netgear Nighthawk.

The Huawei router is at 192.168.2.1 and the Netgear one is at 192.168.1.1 & 192.168.2.3.

In the Huawei config, I have added the following static route:

I can't ping the proxy server IP Addressed, and the Android Client is showing Registration Failed (60) or Timeout (408) sometimes

Hey guys I think airtel is not intended to give landline number access on your mobile like Jio does that's why no one at their tech/support end aware of this fact.

@rajil.s I somewhere read you are using Airtel SIP as a trunk through FreeSwitch, can you post the trunk config here as I am trying to do the same with my FreePBX

@drtech. I am using fusionpbx as frontend. The registration settings are:

Code:
Username:+91fullnumber
Password:Huawei@1
Proxy:ims.airtel.in
Expire seconds: 3600
Auth Username:+91fullnumber@ims.airtel.in
Register transport: UDP

ims.airtel.in is defined as follows:
Code:
# cat /etc/hosts
127.0.1.1       voip1
127.0.0.1       localhost
::1             localhost ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
ff02::1         ip6-allnodes
ff02::2         ip6-allrouters
10.232.133.130 ims.airtel.in

Airtel updated the settings on the Huawei router. The domain changed from ims.airtel.in to ue.ims.airtel.in. Unfortunately the Huawei@1 password no longer works.

Is there any log on the ONT which can dump the password?

can anyone explain what is the use of VOIP or SIP on home routers. just finished the migration of our office phone from PRI to SIP, the PRI copper line had got cut and Airtel said to migrate to SIP. From an existing leased line airtel modem they configured other port for SIP and multiple technical parameters were involved and had to check the settings so every call goes from the Airtel Modem to SBC to PABX to our IP Phones on desk, hence this was major project. But how does this work on normal homes, how exactly will this voip be useful for individual ? Cant you connect a normal phone to Airtel Modem just like i did at home to make / receive calls?

Hey @rajil.s, I have set up my FusionPBX server and I'm able to make outgoing calls but I'm having a problem with incoming calls.

I believe my Gateway configuration is correct (I referred to one of your older messages),

Going through the logs I notice this:
<incoming phone number>@nowhere instead of <incoming phone number>@ims.airtel.in
Which means the server is seeing the incoming call, but something is not configured correctly. I was wondering if you could help me out with this. Thanks a lot
