Is the internet up/downlaod volume shown by bsnl accurate?

Now a days at times I fail to understand the data volume up/downloaded shown (as shown by selfcare.edc website) while I use bsnl broadband. I would like to ask others here if they have same experience or not. As an example, if I connect the modem, open firefox, log in my gmail account and log out of it with out checking any email and disconnect internet, I am told that I had uploaded about 90KB of data and downloaded 1.4MB of data (in just 1 minute). Are these figures reasonable?

Yes. Contrary to what BSNL bureaucrats think, webpages contain much more data nowadays than what it used to be, say, 5 years ago. The rest of the civilised world has moved much ahead, whereas we are trying to go backwards.
