Is it worth porting to BSNL?

Nope for me atleast. In Bangalore and few other cities it's usually either airtel or jio either one of them provide good network sppeds at locations but bsnl for me was always slow and inconsistent

Depends on the location. Find someone who is on the network for proper feedback.

Earlier at my location, BSNL was faster than jio 4g but then BSNL became shit along with jio, vodafone, idea. Only Airtel works for my location.

So it depends on your location.

Before you decide anything, I wish to tell you something. In Kolkata BSNL has a decent enough 3G network. Speeds are better than Jio. But whenever I call, the network switches to 2G, so there won't be any data connectivity during a call. Now that's not a problem for me since I don't call much and am on WiFi anyway. If you have good network coverage, you can take BSNL, since the data experience is surprisingly good!
