My testing indicates that when I am on my Airtel postpaid mobile internet, hotspot from my phone to windows 10 pc, I can not connect to any of the free PPTP servers. I get some error like connection could not be established so the port was closed. or something similar. I also can not connect to my home windows 10 pc on which incoming pptp connection service is running.
I can however connect seamlessly from my VI 4G prepaid internet hotspot from the same windows 10 pc with same other settings.
That makes me wonder if AIrtel mobile internet is blocking PPTP ports and may be also the gre protocol that works with PPTP?
To test it just use an account refering to vpnbook dot com. Now create a VPN connection in Windows 10 specifying the server and pptp username password.
Try to connect when on Airtel postpaid.
