Yup, they haven't changed the tab design since ie 7.

I mean I had use IE's rendering engine today if the user interface was anywhere close to usable. lol. Not happening.

But switching between tabs should not give a lag. But i have used it very sparingly so far.

Dunno. If I am closing multiple tabs, it just stops responding after a 2-3 tabs and suddenly all tabs are gone! There is no fluidity when you are dealing with loads of tabs. This is where Opera (12) beats the hell out of Chrome even.

Try to disable any plugins installed

It works well for what I use it for 🙂 And yes, I have almost everything disabled in it otherwise it is practically unusuable.

funny part is they are comparing IE of 90's to IE 11 running on touchscreen surface tablets of today

And of course, they are not saying that you need either Windows 7 or Windows 8 to actually use the newer versions of Internet Explorer.
