from what i remember the browser thing is pretty old. at least a year old. also... internet is a much popular buzzword compared to the browser. people hear about internet all the time. browser? people hear about the browser softwares and not what these apps are. 🙂 so there is a difference.

Source Microsoft to deliver Internet Explorer updates automatically from next year

Google of course has followed this mechanism since day one with their Chrome browser. The company does not provide an easy way to block browser updates.

Well you can easily block the automatic Crome update by deleting 2 google task(GoogleUpdateTaskUserS****Core and GoogleUpdateTaskUser**UA)from task scheduler, and whenever crome try to auto update it will encounter update server error.
 
when i said 'easy way to block' i mean through a setting in the browser preferences like opera and firefox. deleting tasks is not an easy way. and they might get added back if you install another google app like picasa.
 
I was expecting a like and a praise like "good finding", but this is either. :annoyed:
