well sorry for the ambiguous thread title, posting in a hurry.
So here goes the problem:

1. Broadband connection is Airtel 1299/- plan 512 day/ 1mbps night unlimited.
2.Router or modem whatever is connected to a 8 port D-Link switch.
3. Five computer's are connected to the switch.

one pc is for download purposes and runs 24x7. Now the real problem is whenever i try to access the download pc then my pc looses internet connectivity. ill have to remove the lan wire and reinsert it or disable/enable my lan adapter to make it work again. see the below screenshots :
one is while accessing internet and the other is while transferring data between pc's

Copy/Paste here.
Post this data ( No EDIT)
Start RUN type cmd Ok
New window
Type ipconfig /all

2.Presume modem is Beetel 220BXI or 110 TCI
3. Keep the modem's diagnostics page open.
Watch fail component/s
while accessing internet
and while transferring data between pc's.

2.modem is sterlite SAM300 AX. I am not using the airtel's beetel 110bx1. it hangs a lot.
what weird is all the pcs looses connectivity except the download pc when trying to access the network(i.e local network and not internet) Internet works fine. Internet connectivity is lost only when accessing LAN

PROBLEM sam300AX vista
Internet connectivity is lost only when accessing LAN

..1.
http://i30.tinypic.com/27ywrhc.jpg sample page. confirm.
...2.
change the LAN port connection to computer .
Ports wrongly marked. ( as per MTNL Delhi web site not available at present. )

1. Please Note
In this Model Sign Writing of Ethernet /LAN port/LEDs has been wrongly done. Please read LAN4, LAN3, LAN2 & LAN1 as LAN1, LAN2 LAN3 & LAN4 . Therefore various services on different ports will be available /visible as given below :

LAN1 Broadband Internet
LAN2 VoIP
LAN3 IPTV
LAN4 Broadband Internet

.....3.
You have to disable/uncheck IPV6 in Network settings page.
.......4.
you can use googleDNS 8.8.8.8 and open dns 208.67.220.220
..........5.
Beetel 110BX1 In Management uncheck TR_069 client.
also In DSL page uncheck adsl2 + : Keep Annex M disabled.
.............6.
feedback with quotes for each item separately............. as shown above.
...............7.
Upload screen shot Jpg picture of modem page showing snr/attn etc.
Example :http://i30.tinypic.com/2vl71qw.jpg
.................8.

1. yes

2. i know ports are wrongly marked. i am only using LAN1 through which wire goes into the switch. modem is not directly to the computer.

3. ok IPV6 has been disabled now.

4.i ll try google/open dns later.

5. done all of that before moving to SAM300 AX.

8. ill test with ur suggested settings and give the feedback later.

Connection status : Change Mod mode from present ADSL2 PLUS to GDMT.

from your previous reply only thing i did was to disable ipv6. that didnt help either.

now ADSL mode is G.DMT and ADSL type is : Annex A

check the SS: http://i47.tinypic.com/24npk09.jpg

p.s : The thing worth noting is that as long as i am surfing, internet works fine. But as soon as i start copying files from my dnload pc, my pc looses connectivity. i cant even ping modem.

Post ipconfig /all
Have you enabled DHCP in modem ?
In all computers in TCP/IP change to
obtain IP address automatically.

lets assume there are only 2 pc's now. Mine and the download pc.

1. Ip add is configured automatically on my pc which usually takes 192.168.0.2. Download pc ip is assigned manually for port forwarding purposes🙁 IP- 192.168.0.9, Default gateway- 192.168.0.1, dns- 202.56.215.54)

2. Yes IPV6 is disabled. See the screenshot http://i50.tinypic.com/25rdweq.jpg

solved the problem myself :irock:. Rolled back the ethernet driver. I guess the latest driver is not always the best.:madness:
