At my place, you may appear at the vaccination centre with an Aadhaar photocopy signed by the local councillor (not needed if you have registered online). You CANNOT book slots. It usually creates a long queue. At 10 AM, they give tokens. Appear at the approximate time and get the shot. They call 10 people inside the centre at once. They will complete the online formalities on their PC for you.

If they run out of vaccine, they'll give you preference the next day. (5 people of the previous day and 5 people of the current day will be allowed to enter until everyone from the previous day is vaccinated.)

Ideally you’d want a situation where fully vaccinated people can show their certificate and not have to wear masks while others have to but implementation would be a nightmare
