isnt there an approx 10% "overhead" , meaning you should get 225 kbps on a "256k" package?
I get mostly 480kbps on my 512k bsnl connection, I'm fine with that... should I be expecting a full 512k?
The ISPs should set their numbers on their server to 10% MORE than what they advertise, so a "256k" connection should be set to say 300k so that the consumers actually get the full advertised speed.
Another topic for the regulatory authorities to think about ;-)
