Please let me know, what are the expectations, do you have from a broadband provider ISP or Operator? Keep in mind, 1. your expectations should match with reality,2. it should be practical and 3. Your expectations should match with present market rates strategy and competition.

A 256kbps(upload no less than 128kbps) unlimited connection for around Rs.2500..with no caps in terms of transfer n hours..i.e. truly unlimited....I guess thats not too much to ask...We should really get 512kbps for around rs.3000 unlimited...but that's asking for a little too much right now..

U know muttster`, what you ask is not impossible. this price is already available in delhi and mumbai. but i dont know how much area is covered by that ISP. they have no caping and a good upload also. but what abt the other issue, like, uptime, rectification time, overall after sell services.

well uptime should be good..i dont expect 100%..but 70%+ should be there if possible..it shouldnt be down more than being up...hehtechnical support n aftersales service i dont care..as long as they fix the net when its down its alright.dont need any extra services like email n all either.......

stable and "unlimited" internet connectivity at nominal price...for me nominal prices are...64 kbps - Rs. 400/- per month128 kbps - Rs. 650/- per month256 kbps - Rs. 900/- per month"unlimited" means "unlimited" with minimum 85% uptime...and decent customer support...

exactt provides all that in my area .... more than 95% uptime but cant say much about cistomer support tho....but i am genuinely happy

i wish exatt was available to me 🙁 but im stuck with In2cable which charges Rs.1653 for unlimited 64kbps...I hate them!Powersurfer cant come to my house because the society doesnt permit..The ideal ISP for me would use wireless or DSL...

true, if u get what u're supposed to get, u don't really need the customer support...

I agree with coll_budyy . These are the perfect rates. 2.5k for 256k connection is just too much .
Note: We r already having 256k prvided be exatt and igate in mun

exatt rates(single user ,unlimited group)40 kbps -Rs 18064 kbps -Rs 325128kbps-Rs475256kbps-Rs 720512 kbps-Rs 1400 Data taken from exatt websiteHope other ISP also take a note of exatt rates.

1. since its broadband i expect no products with less than 256Kbps speeds.2. No capping neither time nor data based, we need unlimited products.3. pricing should be realistic, no hidden costs, no addtional costs, it should be all inclusive.4. 24 hours customer support with good technical knowledge.Talking about exact, sify n all other isps, there shouldn't be plans like single user and multiuser. It should be residential/Home and Business/Corporate plans only.in simple terms, we should get what everybody gets abroad.

Well me "realistic' pricing accoding to current scenario are1 GB @ 256 kbps at around 300 pm2 GB @ 256 kbps at around 450 pm4 GB @ 256 kbps at around 600 pm10 GB @ around 1100 pmplus a night unlimited option from 9 to 9 at Rs 49-99 a monthI dont see a true unlimited a reality in india And perhaps upload shud not count

Well i would like it like this256 Kbps Unlimited at 1000512 Kbps Unlimited at 15001 Mbps Unlimited at 2000 or 2500with upload no less than 256Kbpsand uptime of over or around 95%and an intelligent customer care

Felt Like bringing this topic alive again! Now after airtel announcing new plans, everyone getting almost wat they wanted, What are your new expactations? As for me! 256kbps Unlimited (upload 128+) - 850/-512kbps Unlimited (upload 256+) - 1200/-1mbps Unlimited (upload 384+) - 2000/- (too much to ask for though!) 😀
