Now the FD interest rates are high, you can make a FD for Rs 75000 for 1 year and link it with your new Titanium SB a/c .( check with them wheteher it is ok)
Apart from Titanium debit card ask for a "free"
credit card (with out any proof of income) with say rs 25000 limit ( with lien on your Fixed deposit) ( it is called Secured credit card) Only if they agree to waive annual fee !!

If you travel often walking to ICICI branch and using your home branch cheque to with draw say up to Rs 1.5 lakh,
go and stand in the seperate Prlvg.counter if branch is crowded.
Even if there is no seperate counter, I have announced Iam Priv customer showing my card above my head ( some bangalore suburban branch), I have been called ahead of everyone else in the queue ( all others shouting offcourse!!)
IN HSBC Hong kong and Standard charted ( in Hong Kong) , there is seperate floor with croissant, Capucchino, Wall street journal ,Bloomberg /Reuters Terminalwith nice sofas & food like 1st class lounge. ( Min balance hk$ 1 million quatrely to maintain Priv Banking status:dread

Infact HSBC Hong kong gave me introduction to Wells fargo USA (when I migrated in 1997 after china handover ) ,
Wells fargo Los Angeles gave a Gold credit card (not secured /not debit)with 10kUS$ credit limit
(when I was fresh off the
boat with out drivers liecence/Social security/ permanent address and living in Motel weekly basis still house hunting with a PO box address and weekly rental car!!) ( not to mention 250k US$ wire transfer deposited to open the a/c in wells fargo gave me the red carpet)
But after I few days i tried to open wall mart card a/c ( $ 500 limit)...... Rejected because I have no credit history!!)
If you can afford to block 75K in FD for a few years, get this service . you will get free invites for many shows ,exihibitions etc. you can act like Royalty even if you are not one.
In Hyderabad, I saw Axix bank having a Privl banking center with seperate floor ,plush sofa, free gourmet coffee ,Bagel etc.. a bit far away from home)
