Iam using Bsnl type 2 modem. Iam able to connect to Bsnl modem wifi with my mobile phone but Iam getting very less speed.

Iam using Bsnl type 2 modem. Iam able to connect to Bsnl modem wifi with my mobile phone but Iam getting very less speed. speed is in range of 0.4 to 1.7 kb/s only. what I have to do. please help me.
 
try resetting the modem.
i think the issue is with the modem itself.if you can get a friend's modem and check with it if the issue get resolved.
