I have been using WiFi for quite some time

192.168.55.1 is IP of WFi router
192.168.1.1 is ip of ADSL router

Using WiFi adds just a few milliseconds to latency. And I get 44mbps speed between laptop/pc (as compared to 54mbps advertized).

Nothing to worry unless Net connection beefier then 44mbps.

Yes its a bit odd, but did not want to change anything on MTNL router.

yup wireless definitely not as stable as Wired network..my Access point adds extra 7-8 ms of latency..plus u get unstable performance during streaming as well

Check your wireless setup. 7 - 8 ms seems to be too high. Looks like too much noise or or interferance. What is the signal strength on your PC / Laptop?
