i need to use a wirefree internet connection on laptop in hostel in chandigarh?

your options range from tata/reliance/mts data cards to 3G cards from GSM companies... the question is hard to respond to because no one can promise how the service quality would be in your hostel. even if you get broadband download speed, you are not going to get unlimited data transfer. most deals would offer 15GB at around 2000 bucks.
