I did NEFT To Non-Existent Account Number

So I did NEFT transfer from one of my existing accounts in Karnataka Bank to my HDFC Bank account. Instead of **1001551***** , I entered **100551*****. That is one digit less than actual number. NEFT is correct. My question is whether I need to approach the bank now or will it get reversed automatically?.

It should revert automatically but it wouldnt hurt to just send them a email or maybe a phonecall to customer care. how did it even go thru in the first place?

I spoke with bank and BM assured that it would be credited automatically. And I got it reversed without any intervention.
